| Description | Copy of the Act of the town council of Edinburgh, in favour of the chirurgians, declaring that "the application of shearcloathes to dead bodies within burgh… shall properlie belong to the chirurgians and that it shall not be allowed to any apothecaries or their servants in ther names to applye the said shearcloathes nor to them to direct any to apply the same," but permitting the simple apothecaries to make and sell sear cloths. |
