Act concerning widows and unfreemen's abuses by pretending privilege in barbercraft and prescribing the procedure for unfreemen to "make application for a freedome in Barbercraft" within Edinburgh or its suburbs. Signed by Patrick Mowbray, clerk. Appended is a ratification of 7 February 1701, in which Walter Porterfield, their Boxmaster, is empowered to deal as he thinks fit with unfreemen making application for barbercraft on the recommendation of noblemen or gentlemen. |
