Description | Suit of libel raised at the instance of Alexander Muir, chirurgian in Wigtoun in Galloway. Against John Irving, ribbon weaver in Edinburgh and his wife, Joan Murray. Regarding their failure to pay the sum of 100 merks for his attendance on their son, John Muir, when dangerously ill and that Dr Muir did take great "paines, trouble and expense dailie in visiting of him" and £19.6s for the drugs and medicaments. Also contains Assignation of John Douglas to John Muir (1656). |
