Description | Respecting his employment of an unfreeman to cut the hair of the boys in Heriot's Hospital, in preparation for the visit of the magistrates, for which both he and Wood were imprisoned, and particularly refuting the claims made by Pringle that Heriot's Hospital was not within the liberties of Edinburgh, and that his imprisonment was not due to his "disobedience and refractiones," but was solely due to the influence of the deacon of the calling. |
