Description Dearest Amy. I sent you a letter from Rome, but the [illeg] having given us a whole day here. I shall manage a proper letter...We go on board tonight, start very early tomorrow morning and ought to be in Salonika on Monday morning. It has really been a delightful journey. The one upset is that Matron is not like the Matron I chose! You can imagine the shock I got when I saw her. I hope she'll be all right...(28 April, 1915)
