Description Petition of Charles Stewart, barber to the Society of Barbers requesting from them the same weekly allowance as any other superannuated member. He has quit the workhouse because he was required to “take charge of furious persons to the eminent danger of his life, and to crop the hair of four score of children, and to get no other remuneration during all the time he remained in the house, excepting a solitary half crown”.
