Description | "...were dropped out of aeroplanes. I am afraid it is too good to be true! There are so many things here like India, the little wooden carts drawn by bullocks & the markets, & the weather just now is like the cold weather in Allahabad except that every now & then there is drenching rain...Really it is wonderful the work this Unit has done, in the most awful stress all through March & April. We ought to be awfully proud of them....Now we want to get our four convalescents off home & I am hoping that the 20 nurses I telegraphed for will soon be here & the dresses and V.A.Ds. We are all getting along splendidly". (30 May 1915) |
