Description Silver rattle with red coral stick used for teething, it has eight bells, whistle, and loop for ribbon. There was also a traditional belief in the potency of red coral to ensure good luck and to avert the "evil eye". Maker's name shown as John Reilly made in 1803 London hallmark.
