Description "Darling Eve. Thank you ever so much for your letter. The one [illeg] after missing three weeks. You can imagine how much I appreciated it, as it was the only letter from you dear home people. The mail bag before gave me a great disappointment for there was no letter...I found a little one from her inside one from Amy, so I hoped against hope till the last minute, but all the other letters were from other pepole or the Committee. Ask Eva what she means. It is all very well to send me spiritual influences. I want tangible unspiriting letters too! So you see your letter was good. We are still working on here & waiting to see what is going to happen. The Hospital is very nice & has a big outpatient department...We have breakfast at 7 now and roll[?] call at 7.30, & begin dressings at 8.30. I asked the Serbian Headquarters to send us down 25 Serb orderlies, so that we might have them as a [illeg] of trained me when we join the Division. Of course one..."
